It's all alright

I woke last night to the sound of thunder, How far off I sat and wondered. Started humming a song from 1962. Ain't it funny how the night moves. -Bob Seger

Times are weird, living through a major historical event with the potential to cause up to a million deaths in the United States. Bars are closed, shops are closed, no more eating out at restaurant's. I haven't been able to go to the local coffee shop for two weeks now! In addition to that we saw the abrupt end of lift served skiing across all of N. America. The plus side, hiking to ski should keep me more fit then usual.... Maybe.

Even in these unprecedented times things are still normal. I wake up at the same time, I go to work building skis, I ski. Even when everything else is changing, skiing stays the same. Enjoying the mystical beauty of the ground covered in snow is what truly brings to light how no matter what happens things will stay the same. Normal might not be something we will come back to but it will still snow and there will still be skiing.

Today I went skiing and thank God for that.
